When we talk about the type of leather used for shoes, most of the time we’re referring to the finish in leather footwear. In other words, the processes through which the previously tanned leather goes to achieve a specific type of final texture. This means that two shoes made from the same piece of cowhide leather, for example, can be completely different to look at and touch, despite being made from the same material.

Next, replace the laces if necessary and store them by inserting either a shoe tree or the paper you’ll find inside the shoe box, so they retain their original shape and stay looking like new.
