Fantastic upcycled shiplap style table! Made from the vintage pine slats from a 1930s baby bed combined with the tubular mid-century metal legs from a 1960s school desk, this table has been reborn but still shows its age. Slight original wear and tooling from the top’s life in the factory and as a support for who knows how many children. The top still shows some rustic cuts from its original manufacture and its patina is enhanced through the use of Iron Acetate Barnwood stain and natural waxes for sealing. The legs are painted in a Dark Walnut Color and the bottom of the top is stained to match. The recycled materials rating for this piece is 100%! Even the paints and stains are recycled as we attempt to use mistint paints and make our own stains. The stains used in this piece are made from iron/steel scrap and vinegar (iron acetate) and black walnut hulls (Dark Walnut) This is a NO VOC piece safe for the kids room!
